Interreg Sudoe Program: Focused on transnational cooperation for the development of the southwest of Europe

The project entitled "Interface for the Digitalization and Certification in Agrifood: Virgin Olive Oil (IDiCA)" aims to unequivocally assign, to virgin olive oils from the SUDOE region, an identifying fingerprint through a pattern of their composition, and to create a feedable Artificial Intelligence (AI) model, capable of classifying samples.

ManSciTech will carry out the automated analysis of data from different analytical techniques, to assign a digital fingerprint to each virgin olive oil analyzed. Besides, the company will perform the identification of biomarkers of interest for the manufacturing process, and for the detection of adulterations. This way, it will be possible to generate AI based predictive models.

This action intends to promote the dynamization and strengthening of cross-border networks of the olive oil sector in research, generating information, and knowledge transfer between producers, consumers, companies, and research centers of the SUDOE region, thus favoring economic growth and innovation.
