Study of Potential of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance for the Beer Matrix (2022-2024)

Project co-funded by the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) and Mahou-San Miguel S.L.

This project arises from the submission of the proposal “The Digital Fingerprint of Beer” to the 3rd Call to search innovation projects in the agri-food sector promoted by the investment fund Tech Transfer Agrifood. After a selection process, the proposal was accepted by the international brewery Mahou-San Miguel S.L., to study the applicability of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) as a technology for routine analysis of beer.

The project, which is currently in development, opens new avenues to the establishment of NMR as a technique for certification, monitorization, and routine analysis of beer.
